Products are produced to program. Species, construction, dimensions, grain direction, and surface are established for each program following sample review and project discussion.
How a Program Develops
01 Sample Request
Samples are ordered through the product pages. Company details and shipping information are recorded with the sample request.
02 Sample Review
Samples are produced from current production and shipped for review against project requirements.
03 Specification
Species, construction, dimensions, grain direction, and surface are established per program and confirmed against an approved sample.
04 Facility Review
The J&X production base can be reviewed by program partners ahead of production commitment.
05 Production Program
Approved samples are retained as the production reference. Subsequent orders are produced against the retained reference.
Production Control
Each program runs against the approved sample retained by J&X. Leaf numbering and batch grouping are carried through from slicing to packing, so repeat orders can be matched back to that reference.
Facility Review
Program partners are welcome to review the J&X production base before a production commitment is made. Visits are arranged around the production calendar and cover the log yard, the slicing line, and the panel and profile lines relevant to the program. Travel arrangements are made by the visiting party.
